Recommended Uses

Recommended Uses

  • Combine with licorice root, cinnamon and burdock root for a delicious detoxifying tea.
  • Roast the roots in the oven to a dark brown color for a tea that tastes like coffee.
  • Make a dandelion tincture by infusing the roots in vodka for 2-3 months. Strain and take ½ teaspoon after a meal to stimulate digestion and relieve bloating and gas.

Brewing tips: Use ½ tablespoon for 8 oz boiling water…

  • With its nutty, earthy flavor that has slight bitter undertones which turn on the bitter receptors throughout the digestive tract, dandelion root tea is renowned for stimulating good digestion plus activating liver, bile and kidney cleansing. Although not as tasty as roasted dandelion roots that are used in coffee alternatives, raw dandelion roots preserve the minerals, vitamins and antioxidants that are concentrated in these deep growing tap roots.

With its natural prebiotic soluble fiber, inulin, dandelion root lives up to its reputation to promote good digestion by supporting the beneficial microbes for good gut health. They ferment inulin to create metabolites that protect your colon’s lining, mediate the immune response and tamper down inflammation. Dandelion root’s wellness properties include its diuretic effects on the kidneys and stimulating effects on a sluggish liver which supports clear skin.

The use of dandelion root as a wellness tea is found in cultures across the globe including by Native American tribes, Europeans, and in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Our dandelion root is wild harvested in pristine northern meadows in Asia and Eastern Europe.

I'm thrilled to have this back in my home. I had been drinking bagged tea, but prefer to brew my own in root form. This has a great taste, but I usually brew it with chamomile, hibiscus, even valerian. Many Eastern traditions recommend this as a liver support and that has been working for me. This is clean and easy to use. I look forward to the next several months. A+

Seems like a good value item. Can't wait to try some dandelion tea to do a bit of cleansing. 1lb bag should last me quite a while 👍

It's a lovely earthy flavor I enjoy in the afternoon, best thing? No caffeine!
