About Our Barley

  • Roasted barley is a popular caffeine-free coffee alternative in Italy where it’s known as “Caffé d’orzo.” Italians brew it dark and rich like espresso, whereas in Japan it is enjoyed as a chilled brewed tea that is cleansing for the body.
    Our barley is organically grown in Europe and roasted by a family-owned business that has been roasting barley for seven generations.

Finely ground, does not taste burnt. A fresh oaty smell, a mild grain flavor (like rice/oats). This is a very tasty drink. It has a similar feeling for me as drinking a cup of chamomile tea. Calming, comfortable.
