About Our Chicory

  • Our premium chicory is grown and harvested by family farmers in the traditional chicory growing region of Northern France. After harvest, the chicory roots are roasted by a French family-owned company that has specialized in roasting chicory for generations. Our premium freshly roasted chicory is imported bimonthly so we always have a fresh roast in stock. Unlike coffee, chicory doesn’t go stale or rancid because it doesn't contain oil.

This is my favorite of all the chicory I have tried. Unlike most others, you can really taste it. I add it to my fresh coffee grounds in french press every morning. It adds a richness, depth, and syrupy thickness.

I really like it and love the fact that I don't get any heartburn and it will not cause me insomnia if I drink it at night because it doesn't contain any caffeine. You can also prepare a nice cappuccino with chicory! Love it!

I freaking love this stuff

Equal parts this and wild honeybush is my heavenly go-to nearly every morning. Add some spice (a few Allspice berries or some cinnamon chips) and a bit of local honey (or not) and expect your grateful taste buds to bliss out. This chicory adds a robust dark roasted flavor that can't be beat. It's love. Full stop.

Delicious Caffeine-free Coffee Replacement

I was tired of the heartburn I'd always get after drinking decaf coffee (which still has a small amount of caffeine). I switched to this, and brew it in the Keurig just like I would coffee. Be aware that this is slightly stronger, and you need to reduce the amount you put in the reusable K-cup 'pod' to keep it from being very strong (though to make an "iced chicory" I fill the 'pod' and dilute the super-strong brew with ice and cold water to taste. This stuff is delicious!
